Gippsland Swimming nominated and sent a representative team to the 8-11 Victorian Country Junior District Competition, an event hosted by SV. The District sent 8 swimmers, when available, in each event. There is a 50m event for each age group (8, 9, 10, 11) in each stroke as well as freestyle and medley relays.
The 2025 Victorian Country Junior District Competition was held at MSAC on October 25. Because the meet is held on October 25, swimmers age is calculated as at that date.
Our District has a proud history of winning the 8-11 meet and we endeavour to put together the best team available.
We were grateful for the many swimmers who nominated to be part of the Gippsland Team and the coaches and parents who volunteered to manage our team of 84 swimmers. Team Managers were Josh Szkwarek (Trl), Brooke Said (Trl), Sarah Packer (SGB) and Coaches Trinity O’Keefe (SGB), Chelsea Spencer (Wgl), Dave Vercoe (Trl) and Lorraine Mckenzie (SGB). The Team Captains were Tahlia Maccubbin (Trl) and Hayden Rawson (Trl) Congratulations.
